Spencer Sport heads back to the Croft Circuit in North Yorkshire this weekend for Round 6 of the Toyo Tires MSA British Rallycross Championship – hoping that things turn out a little better than they did when the team raced their in May!
Earlier in the season, contact with another car saw Julian Godfrey roll the Mitsubishi Mirage RX Supercar heavily, costing him the overall lead in the series and forcing a major rebuild – which was remarkably achieved in time for him to race at the next round at Pembrey.
Despite the accident, Godfrey is just ten points off the lead of the British Rallycross Championship in third place, and will be the one to watch in the all-star Supercar category.
Practice gets underway at 09.30 on Sunday, followed by two sets of qualifying heats prior to the lunch break. Thereafter, the third qualifying heats take place before the various semi-finals and finals to round off a bumper day of action.
